KYC keeps getting rejected even with valid Aadhaar — need help

I've tried KYC on two platforms now and both times my Aadhaar gets rejected. The card is valid, I use it for everything else. What am I doing wrong?

Error message just says "Document verification failed" — no details. Using a clear photo on good lighting. Help!

Most common reasons for Aadhaar KYC rejection:

1. Name mismatch — Your name on Aadhaar must exactly match the name on the platform account. Even "Rahul Kumar" vs "Rahul Kumar Singh" will fail
2. Photo quality — Take the photo in natural light, no shadows on the card, all 4 corners visible. Don't crop too tight
3. Aadhaar type — Some platforms don't accept the mAadhaar (mobile Aadhaar). Use the physical card or eAadhaar PDF
4. Address issue — If your Aadhaar address is in a state where online gaming is restricted (AP, Telangana, Assam), some platforms auto-reject

Which state are you in? That might be the issue.

I'm in Karnataka — gaming should be legal here right? Let me try with the eAadhaar PDF instead of the phone photo. The name should match since I used my Aadhaar name for the account.

Karnataka is fine — the High Court struck down the ban in 2022. Try the eAadhaar PDF downloaded from uidai.gov.in. Many platforms prefer the PDF over photos because the OCR reads it more accurately.

Also make sure file size is under 2MB — some platforms silently reject oversized uploads.
